Who We Are?

The e-Commerce Development Center (EDC) is a non-profit trust that conducts research, education, surveys, and documentation on local products and the e-commerce sector in Bangladesh. The EDC team works online and offline to research e-commerce and local products.

What We Do?

We research, document, create content, and organize events on local products and e-commerce. EDC works with the deputy commissioner’s office, the university, and a few public and private organizations to impact local products and e-commerce for students, entrepreneurs, etc.

How do you get the benefit?

The website provides essential content on local products, GI products, e-commerce, etc. When you need other support, such as documentation, research, or university course design, we can work under a memorandum of understanding (MOU).

Work area

EDC is working in a few fields in the country about local products and e-commerce.

Research

Since the first day, EDC has aimed to research the local products industry for e-commerce. That’s why EDC published a few research-based content about local products of Bangladesh.

Education

Another objective of the EDC is to include education in universities about local products e-commerce of Bangladesh. For this resion EDC working with a few university in the country .

GI goods

EDC work to increasing the numbder of geographical indication (GI) goods of Bangladesh. That’s why the trust help to applicant by the documentaions for GI application.
